Lullaby of Birdland // Ella Fitzgerald
[starting the day off right, late but right!]
Why yes I am! And you’ve come to me with one of the several “hot button” issues in the Faith. Is it necessary? Does it “save” you or is it just a ritual, a rite of passage? All fair questions. For me its a lot simpler. I simply go with what I claim to be: a Christian. Which by the very name means that I am to be “like Christ” in every facet of my life. In the third chapter of the Book of Matthew, Jesus himself is baptized by John the Baptist wherewith a voice from Heaven says:
“This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
If it pleases the Most High, then that’s enough for me. It’s all about the Word, and what it says. The Bible also says Jesus walked on water! And while I’ve come up short, my search for a body of water strong enough to hold me up is unending! LOL. But seriously, if anything I would encourage you, whomever you are dearest Anon, to go an find the answer for yourself. The Bible is chalk full of answers, and to that end more questions as well.
But its all there, I promise you.
